South China Sea (Mar. 26, 2005) - Marines assigned to 2nd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Company, 3rd Platoon, fire their 9mm pistols at targets during a live fire small-arms familiarization exercise on the flight deck aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). In this portion of training, Marines could only use one arm to draw their weapon, shoot and reload, simulating a situation that might arise in combat. Blue Ridge, the Seventh Fleet command ship, is permanently forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.
