“Who’s scruffy looking?”
He just got back from making the Kessel Run, and now he’s ready to join your collection- Sideshow is proud to present the Han Solo Premium Format Figure.
For the look of this figure, Han Solo has been brought to life straight from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. His detailed portrait has been sculpted to capture the likeness of Harrison Ford.
The Han Solo Premium Format Figure has an authentic Episode V costume sewn from fabric and leather elements to give his look an added sense of realism, down to the details of his belt.
Taking an action stance with his blaster, Han is ready to shoot first when his enemies come to collect what he owes. He stands on top of a Millennium Falcon inspired base to complete the scene, proving this smuggling scoundrel has the heart of a rebel.
The Exclusive edition of this statue comes with a right hand equipped with an E-11 blaster for additional display options.
No time to discuss this as a committee- pre-order the Han Solo Premium Format Figure for your collection today!

“I think you just can’t bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight”
Sideshow is proud to unveil a loving homage to one of the greatest characters in Sci-Fi cinema. The legendary Han Solo! Smuggler, criminal, freedom fighter, rebel, hero…whatever you choose to call him, Han Solo is a character that captured the hearts of fans and princesses alike.
Over the years, Han Solo and his trusty co-pilot Chewbacca out-flew and outsmarted the Empire at every turn. But a chance encounter with an old hermit, a farmer, and some wayward droids changed his life forever. Before long Han Solo was putting his life (and his beloved ship) on the line, rescuing a captured Galactic Senator and joining a desperate rebellion!
Making everyone’s favorite smuggler was no easy feat! With his roguish smile, world-weary attitude and cutting wit, Han Solo has an almost indefinable charm, and a powerful character that has to be really captured to bring a statue to life.
Project Manager, Mike Tolentino said:
“We all grew up loving Star Wars and we were morally obligated to our younger selves to make these statues as perfect as we could. It was harder then you could imagine capturing the cockiness and attitude for everyone’s favorite smuggler.”
Project Manager, Anthony Mestas added:
“It was pleasure to work with our friend Trevor Grove on bringing Han to life. Trevor totally nails the subtle nuances that solidify Han’s character. His uncanny ability to capture Harrison Ford’s likeness is a blessing!”
Sideshow’s team worked hard to capture the likeness, the pose, balance and attitude of the infamous smuggler, before then tackling his iconic outfit.
Fabrication Expert, Tim Hanson added:
“Esther Skandunas did an amazing job on Han’s cut n’ sew elements. It’s always a challenge to not only get things 100% movie accurate, but also to hang just right, to flow with the twist of the body and to crease, fold, stretch and move naturally with the chosen pose. The fabric should add another layer of dynamism, and Esther totally crushed it!”
Every minuscule detail of Han Solo’s wardrobe was replicated with the utmost screen-accuracy. From the weathering on his much-used gun belt, to the individual folds and drape of his famous jacket, no detail was overlooked.
Tim elaborated:
“Han’s jacket was a particular challenge. It’s a very specific shade of blue / grey that looks very different depending on the lighting. You’ll see in the movies that it actually looks a different color between worlds. We worked hard to get the jacket as movie accurate as possible. Screen authenticity was the key here. We also worked hard to make his wardrobe and props as detailed and authentic as we could. His gun belt and holster are actually worked leather, molded and aged and weathered to be as realistic as possible. We love all those tiny details. Even the ‘blood-stripe’ on his tailored pants is embroidered. That’s a little touch I’m particularly proud of.”
Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon-inspired character base echoes design cues from Sideshow’s Chewbacca Premium Formatfile:///C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\{D41FVA2GN7OA2X26ICDLK9.png Figure, making him the perfect companion piece to his loyal Wookiee sidekick.
Painter, Bernardo Esquivel said:
“We had so much fun going back and forth working on the base design, hunting through reference footage and photos, and choosing the color palette. It was a pleasure to paint. The Falcon inspired base prototype was model built, rather than digitally sculpted, so it was a mixture of found objects, real wires and twisted cables, it keeps that lived-in and worn aesthetic that made those sets so tangible and realistic. I think that really makes this base feel like a section of the Millennium Falcon.”
Art Director, David Igo said:
“Making a solid Han Solo figure isn’t easy, so many subtle aspects need to be just right or it’s not him. All hands were on deck to make this piece a reality. With the initial concept, rarely is there ever one person on the design team solely responsible for a locked-in vision of a piece. Our CCO Tom Gilliland and Senior Concept Artist JP Mavinga started with an idea that our Senior Sculptor Matt Black helped to evolve and realize in 3D. It was a huge collaboration, there wasn’t one person responsible for the final concept, it was a team effort.”
Project Manager, Mike Tolentino, added:
“The whole team really pulled together to make this Premium Format Figure not only as accurate as possible, but to convey the essence of a character we all love. This is really a group effort, and the result of many months of work. From the exceptionally lifelike sculpt, to the beautiful paint work by Wan and Bernardo, to the detailed tailoring, it’s been a real passion project for us all, and I’m so proud to unveil the finished prototype to our collectors.”
This limited edition, museum quality collectible is the perfect centerpiece to any Star Wars Collection.
