The handgonne is the oldest handheld firearm in the world. As the ancestor of modern firearms, although the handgonne has the problem of slow loading speed and insufficient accuracy when shooting at a long distance, its penetrating power is quite powerful. They have proven their worth countless times on the battlefield. It took only a century for the handgonne to become an important weapon in Medieval European armies since it first appear in the 14th century. And in the next century they even began to replace the crossbow.
